1. Golden Rule: Legitimate Employers Never Charge Applicants to Apply or Get Hired

If a recruiter, agency, or document asks you to pay an "application fee," "visa processing deposit," "medical exam advance," "background check fee," or "laptop shipping charge," stop immediately. Legitimate companies pay their own recruitment and onboarding costs.

Always verify that the recruiter’s email domain matches the company’s official website domain, and cross-check the job opening on the company’s official `/careers` page.

  • Never pay upfront fees via bank transfer, cryptocurrency, gift cards, or mobile money.
  • Never send passport scans or national ID documents over unverified WhatsApp or Telegram chats.
  • Use JobWorld’s "Report Listing" form on `/contact` if you ever encounter a suspicious link.
